e*Message appeared at CeBIT 2005 with a new technology, a new pager and a new media cooperation. The three mobile marketing innovations were presented at a joint press conference with RTL Interactive and IMG, the leader in sports marketing.
Fans of the Bundesliga football club Hannover 96 have a reason to celebrate: shortly before the league opening weekend, the club will offer a special fan pager. With exclusive club news, speed-trap bulletins, and information on dates, results and events, the pager keeps fans informed even outside the stadium.
Gelsenkirchen's fire department is ready for the 2006 football World Cup: firefighters in eight stations are now alerted using the digital e*BOS alerting network operated by e*Message. Volunteer firefighters, rescue services and other civil defence agencies will also use the network in the near future. According to a decision taken last summer by the German telecommunications authority (Reg TP), alerting messages are to be sent throughout the country on a frequency band reserved exclusively for civil defence agencies.
The specialized mobile communications provider e*Message, in cooperation with SPORT BILD, is launching a new mobile information service, SPORT BILD live Fan-Ticker. The service uses a specially developed pager and the e*Motion platform, a novel combination of Internet and broadcast network. The system can broadcast news to a large number of users — live, and for a flat monthly rate.
