Berlin, 22nd June 2015: Dr Dietmar Gollnick, CEO of the e*Message Wireless Information Services Deutschland GmbH, has been elected to the general board of the Future Forum Public Safety (ZFÖS). The election, which takes place at regular intervals, occurred as part of the general assembly on 18th June. The Future Forum Public Safety links industry, research and federal politics and, among other things, aims to promote the development of a national position on security issues and a modern understanding of civil security.
The issue of public security is on the agenda more than ever these days: cyber attacks, the spread of international terrorist organisations and the increase in unpredictable natural disasters in the form of tornadoes, storms and storm surges have ensured that the political agenda must reposition itself in this respect. Safety can no longer be taken for granted.
The Future Forum Public Safety which is based in Berlin aims to contribute to improving the discourse on technical and non-technical solutions, in order to strengthen public security. Linking industry, research and federal politics, it is committed to connecting the relevant players from politics, authorities, economy and media and involving them in the issue. This is why numerous representatives of these groups are part of the ZFÖS committees
Dr Dietmar Gollnick, CEO of e*Message, was elected to the 24-person general board of the ZFÖS during the general assembly on 18th June. “This is fantastic recognition of our current work and our past achievements,” says Gollnick. “There is a desire for e*Message’s increased involvement in the nationwide landscape of public security, in terms of both manpower and products - which is something we are very happy to do.”
This does not come out of the blue: e*Message only recently received the new German quality seal “Safety made in Germany” (SMG) for its communication security solutions e*BOS and e*Warn. The Berlin mobile network operator is among the first five holders of the new quality seal in the country. The seal is awarded by the German Fire Protection Association (vfdb) for excellent products and services in the German security industry. The seal was awarded during Interschutz, the world’s leading trade fair for fire prevention, disaster relief, rescue, safety and security (8th to 13th June 2015, Hanover).
The new German quality seal is awarded for excellent products and services in the German security industry. The German Fire Protection Association (vfdb) plans to use it to highlight quality features in the field of security. Products and services which satisfy the high German standards of users in non-police danger prevention and have been tried and tested in the field by rescue and emergency units are to become easily identified.
In December 2014, e*Message was furthermore awarded the Berlin Brandenburg innovation award for its control solution e*Nergy. An innovative spirit and reliable security solutions - e*Message will use both fields of competence to play a part in the ZFÖS with regard to the issue of public security in Germany.
The e*Message Wireless Information Services GmbH (e*Message Europe) operates Europe’s largest security radio network.
