Berlin, 14th November 2019: The Managing Director of e*Message Wireless Information Services Deutschland GmbH, Dr. Dietmar Gollnick, was elected as the new President of the global Critical Messaging Association (CMA) at the start of November in Brussels.
He follows in the footsteps of Derek Banner (UK), who held the post for many years and was no longer up for election. The result of the vote was unanimous.
Berlin, 5th November 2019: Population warnings in Germany will become more secure, more reliable and more diverse, with greater penetration even if individual infrastructures fail. The Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (BBK) and the nationwide network operator e*Message have signed a new multiplier agreement on 4th November to ensure this.
Berlin, 12th March 2019: The power cut in Berlin-Köpenick in mid-February demonstrated just how vulnerable the infrastructure of a modern 21st-century metropolis can be. Moreover, it became ap-parent that there is much room for improvement when it comes to managing disasters. The impact was considerable. Although mo-bile phone networks, for example, may fail when there is no elec-tricity, alerts and communications from security and disaster relief forces must be reliably guaranteed. This is one of the purposes for which e*Message operates Europe’s largest security radio network. The “magic word” is redundancy - this must be reliably guaranteed.
